Louise McIntosh Slaughter (born August 14, 1929) is the U.S. Representative for New York's 28th congressional district, serving since 1993, and Chair of the House Rules Committee from 2007 until 2011. She is a member of the Democratic Party. The district is based in Rochester and Buffalo and includes parts of Erie, Monroe, Niagara and Orleans Counties. She previously represented the 30th district from 1987 to 1993.
